Key Principal Partners appoints Nicholas Stone as director29/08/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
US private equity firm Key Principal Partners has hired Nick Stone as director, in charge of West Coast business development. Stone will be based in KPP's San Francisco, California office. Prior to joining KPP, Stone was vice president of Chicago-based private equity firm Northlight Capital, where he was responsible for developing proprietary acquisition opportunities, transaction execution and managing operational projects at portfolio level.
Previously, he was a director with U.S. Capital, a mid-market boutique business brokerage firm. Stone began his career with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - Johnson Space Center as a financial analyst for flight crew operations.
Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, KPP targets mid-market investment opportunities across North America. The firm utilises mezzanine and equity capital to fund the growth, buy-out, refinancing or acquisition of profitable companies. It has approximately $1bn in capital under management and can invest $7-40m in companies with at least $20m in revenue.
KPP is affiliated with KeyCorp, and has offices in Greenwich and San Francisco.
