Draper Fisher Jurvetson, in partnership with Israeli venture firm Tamir Fishman Ventures, has agreed to form joint enterprise DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures. Tamir Fishman Ventures will re-brand as DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures.

Jennifer Fonstad, a senior member of DFJ's Silicon Valley-based team, will join the DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures investment committee.

Tim Draper, managing director of DFJ, said, 'We believe that DFJ Tamir Fishman adds a critical piece of the DFJ partner network. We also expect that their addition to our global network of partners will also benefit DFJ TF's deal flow and access, with the goal of delivering better returns for their entrepreneurs and investors.'

Tamir Fishman Ventures was established ten years ago. The firm manages approximately $300m in three funds, focusing on early stage investments across communications, IT, life sciences and emerging technologies.

DFJ has approximately $6bn in capital under management.
