Italian private equity firm Consilium closes second fund on €150m

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityMilan-based private equity firm Consilium has closed its second fund, Consilium Private Equity Fund, on €150m, exceeding the fund's initial €100m target.

The fund held a second closing in March of this year, on €74.1m and a first closing in October 2006, on €57.5m. It was launched in June 2006.

Investors in CPEF are primarily European institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals.

The fund will focus on buy-out and development capital opportunities in Italy. Target companies will typically have a turnover of between €20m and €80m.

The new fund's predecessor, the €44.5m Kairos Partners Private Equity Fund, was transferred from Milan-based asset management group Kairos Partners in July 2006.

Consilium was founded by Antonio Glorioso and Stefano Iamoni, who previously worked together at Kairos Partners.
