 Italian mid-market private equity firm 21 Investimenti, part of 21 Group, has held a first closing on its new fund, 21 Investmenti II. The fund has raised €150m.
21 Investimenti began fundraising in April 2007. The firm expects to close its new vehicle above its original target size of €200m by the end of this year.
Investors in 21 Investmenti II include family offices and institutional investors from Italy, other European countries and the Middle East.
Alessandro Benetton, founding managing partner of 21 Group, said, 'We have had excellent support from our existing partners, and encouragingly we have had a significant number of large new international investors committing to 21 Investimenti II.'
