UK firm Endless expands activity in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland16/11/2007. Source: AltAssets.
Leeds-headquartered buy-out and turnaround firm Endless has appointed two senior advisers, John Kernohan and Richard Gillan, based in the Belfast area. Initially, they will focus their investment activity on Northern Ireland, but they will also look at opportunities in and around Dublin.
Kernohan and Gillan met when they worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Kernohan later left PwC to join 3i, while Gillan went to Deloitte.
Garry Wilson, partner at Endless, said, 'We have long discussed our intention to expand into new territories, having identified considerable opportunity across a number of areas. This move into Ireland will further strengthen Endless's foothold within the buy-out and turnaround industry and will tackle the opportunity to broaden the understanding and capability of private equity to help businesses develop and grow in the region.
'We are delighted, therefore, to be announcing the launch into Ireland and to have secured both John Kernohan and Richard Gillan to lead this crucial endeavour. Both will of course work closely with the members of Endless in the other regions, as well as our established adviser contacts in determining our future activity in the area,' Wilson continued.
Endless has also announced that it is planning to open an office in London in the near future. The firm currently has UK offices in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.
