Updata closes fourth growth stage venture capital fund on $223m23/11/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 US growth stage venture capital firm Updata Partners has closed its fourth fund, Updata Partners IV, on $223m. The fund had an original target of $200m.
Updata will continue to invest in software and software-enabled technology companies.
The closing of Fund IV brings Updata's funds under management to approximately $400m.
The Reston, Virginia, and Edison, New Jersey-based firm has also announced the promotion of Rich Erickson to general partner and Carter Griffin to partner.
