Innovacom closes sixth fund on €150m

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityEuropean early stage technology venture capital firm Innovacom has closed its sixth fund, Innovacom 6, on €150m. The fund was launched at the end of March of this year.

Investors in the fund include HarbourVest Partners and the EIF. The fund also received support from the France Investissement initiative, which is managed by UK government-owned fund of funds CDC Enterprises.

Innova 6 will continue to focus on companies in the telecommunications and digital media sectors. The fund invests between €6m and €7m in early stage enterprises, mainly in France but also also in Northern Europe and North America. Innovacom has offices in Stockholm and San Francisco.

According to the firm, a first investment from the fund will be made before end of the year.

Innovacom was founded in 1988. The firm's Innova 5 fund closed in November 2003 on €120m.
