Early stage venture capital firm BlueRun Ventures has opened a new office in Beijing. The announcement follows the firm's recent appointments of William Qu and Mike Ding in China. BlueRun managing partner John Malloy said, 'With the opening of our Beijing office, we hope to further strengthen our entrepreneurial network and provide better support to our portfolio companies in China and globally.'
The firm has been active in China since 2001 as an early stage investor in the wireless, consumer and internet services, media and semiconductor sectors. The firm opened its first China office in Shanghai in summer 2005.
BlueRun was formerly known as Nokia Venture Partners. The firm is headquartered in Menlo Park, California, and has offices in Beijing, Helsinki, Herzelia, Mumbai, Seoul and Shanghai. Current investments include 3i Systems, APM, Availink, Innofidei, PICA and PPlive.
