Iveagh, a London-based private investment firm of which the Guinness family is a major shareholder and principal client, has agreed to become a shareholder in Asia Alternative Asset Partners (Triple A Partners), a joint venture between Hans Tiedemann, Paul Smith, Roger Pyrke and CLSA. Iveagh will be responsible for building an investment management team, with a focus on seeding Asian and other emerging markets managers. Iveagh has also agreed to become a cornerstone investor in Triple A Partners' new seeding fund, which will close its initial capital raising with approximately $150m of assets on 31 December 2007. A second closing of a similar amount is expected to be held in the second half of 2008.
Hans Tiedemann, chairman of Triple A Partners, said, 'We are absolutely delighted to welcome Iveagh as a partner in our business. They bring substantial experience and expertise to the partnership both from a marketing and investment standpoint.'

Iveagh, whose current funds under management total some $800m, has managed a global seeding platform, Arundel Emerging Managers, since 2004.
