Advent International to buy Bulgarian tiles producer KAI Group14/12/2007. Source: AltAssets. 
 Advent International has agreed to acquire a 70 per cent stake in KAI Group, a Bulgarian manufacturer of interior and exterior floor, wall and decorative ceramic tiles, for an undisclosed amount.
The company employs over 1,000 people. KAI Group also comprises a transportation business and a clay mining company.
Advent plans to strengthen the company's senior management, improve IT systems, expand sales and marketing, enhance the product range and increase capacity.
The management team, led by CEO Spas Shopov, has built the company into Bulgaria's market leader, on the basis of high standards of service, strong cash flows and efficient logistics.
Chris Mruck and Tamas Nagy led the transaction for Advent.
Advent's other investments have included BTC, the Bulgaria Telecommunications Company.
