Silver Lake Sumeru, the mid-market investment group of technology-focused private equity firm Silver Lake, has appointed former senior vice president of Adobe Systems John Brennan as managing director. He will be based in the firm's Menlo Park office. Ajay Shah, managing director, Silver Lake Sumeru, said, 'We are very pleased to welcome John to Silver Lake Sumeru as a senior member of our team. His significant software and services operating skills, combined with his transaction and investment experience, are a great match for us and will augment and complement the capabilities of our group.'
Prior to Silver Lake Sumeru, Brennan held several senior positions at Adobe Systems. Previously, he also served as senior vice president of SMB segment operations at Hewlett-Packard. Early in his career, Brennan worked in Accenture's electronics and high tech practice and as a portfolio manager at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.
In January of this year California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) acquired a 9.9 per cent stake in Silver Lake.
