Permira has appointed Daniel M Healy as senior advisor to the firm. Based in New York, Healy will advise Permira on opportunities across a number of sectors, with a focus on financial services. Healy is the former CFO and executive vice president of North Fork Bancorporation. He served on North Fork's board of directors from 2000 to 2006.
Prior to North Fork, Healy was a client partner at KPMG, where he specialised in financial services, technology and other commercial enterprises, and also served as a managing partner in KPMG's San Jose and Long Island offices.
He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of KBW and Hiscox and chairs the independent directors audit committee for both firms.

Among its more recent investments have been German broadcasting group ProSiebenSat.1 Media, frozen food business iglo Birds Eye and Danish telecoms operator TDC.
