Finnish private equity firm Amanda Capital is establishing a new vehicle, Amanda SICAV-SIF - Liquid Private Equity Fund, which will invest globally in listed private equity firms and funds. Amanda Capital itself will invest €5m in the new fund. Marko Hovi, a member of Amanda Management Company's board of directors, said in a statement that many new investors, who have not been able to make investments in traditional private equity funds established as limited partnerships due to, for example, the high minimum investment amount, the lower liquidity of such investments or tax reasons, have become interested in private equity investments.
Amanda LPE will be established as a sub-fund of a Luxembourg SICAV-SIF and be managed by a wholly owned subsidiary of Amanda Capital, Amanda Management Company, Luxembourg, to be established shortly, according to a statement.
Amanda Group currently has €2.3bn of assets under management. The firm invests in funds across Europe, the US, Asia and Russia.
