Private equity and hedge fund investment firm Private Advisors has appointed Matthew Baker, Jennifer Buckley and Rickard Fischerstrom as managing directors in the firm's London office, which is led by Jens Bisgaard-Frantzen, the former CEO and managing partner of ATP Private Equity Partners who joined Private Advisors in July 2007. Baker will be involved with private equity manager selection and monitoring, due diligence and will also oversee legal and tax affairs. Baker used to work alongside Bisgaard-Frantzen at ATP PEP, where he was responsible for legal and tax affairs, including negotiating terms and conditions governing portfolio funds, commercial due diligence and liaising with tax advisors on an investment-by-investment basis.
Buckley will be responsible for private equity manager sourcing, due diligence and monitoring and portfolio construction. She has spent the past eight years at GE Equity in London as head of the EMEA private equity group. She was previously in charge of the team responsible for commitments to private equity funds and co-investments. Prior to GE, Buckley spent two years with Goldman Sachs in Fixed Income Capital Markets.
Fischerstrom is taking on responsibility for European business development and investor relations at Private Advisors UK. Before that, he held a similar role at Lazard Asset Management, with responsibility for both alternative and traditional investment capabilities. Prior to Lazard, Fischerstrom headed European institutional business development and client service at UBS Alternative & Quantitative Investments (UBS O'Connor), specific to the firm's fund of funds and single manager hedge fund businesses.
