UK mid-market private equity firm Bowmark Capital has appointed Paraag Davé as an investment manager. The firm has also announced the promotion of healthcare and leisure sector expert Mark Salter to senior partner. Davé joins Bowmark from start-up private equity firm Paradigm Global Partners, where he was an associate. He began his career at strategy consultancy firm Monitor Company and then held a series of roles at B2B logistics provider Excel.
Salter joined Bowmark in 2001 from Bank Austria, where he helped establish its UK private equity activities. His investments at Bowmark include the Education and Adventure Travel Group, Kisimul and The Regard Partnership.
Bowmark specialises in smaller UK companies. Founded in 1997, Bowmark manages and advises funds totalling approximately £700m.
Bowmark invests in various sectors, including business services, leisure, healthcare, media and IT services. Last month, the firm backed the £75m buy-out of East Anglia-based elderly residential care provider Healthcare Homes Group from August Equity.
Earlier this year, Bowmark Capital Partners IV closed on £265m.
