US One Equity Partners backs $1.7bn Quintiles buy-out 11/04/2003. US One Equity Partners has backed the $1.7bn management buy-out of biotech company Quintiles Transnational. The transaction will give Quintiles shareholders $14.50 per share compared with an $11.25 per share offer rejected in November 2002.

US-based Deutsche Bank's fund of funds business joins Deutsche Asset Management 09/04/2003. Deutsche Bank's fund of funds business has folded into Deutsche Asset management in a move designed to give its private banking clients access to private equity investments.

3i closes Irish office citing general economic slowdown 09/04/2003. Europe's largest private equity firm 3i is closing its Dublin office. ‘The reason is due to slower than expected development of the Irish private equity market, which has been impacted by the general economic slowdown,' the firm said in a statement.
