The communications and networking sector received the greatest amount of venture investment, with $80m invested in 18 companies, as compared to $30m invested in ten companies in the previous quarter. The software sector also experienced an increase in venture investment with $60m invested in 16 companies, as compared to 13 companies and $32m in the first quarter of the year.
