Dallas, Texas-headquartered home health services provider Encompass Home Health has completed a recapitalisation led by private equity firm Thoma Cressey Bravo. Thoma Cressey Bravo, in partnership with Encompass management and Northwestern Mutual Capital, acquired all of the interests in Encompass from Apax Partners.
Encompass is a home health provider in the Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico markets. The company generates approximately 88 per cent of its revenue from Medicare home nursing services, with the balance from paediatric care covered by state Medicaid programmes and private payers.
Thoma Cressey Bravo manages almost $2bn in equity capital and specialises in healthcare, software, business services and other industries including education, distribution and consumer products.
Northwestern Mutual Capital invests in the mezzanine, direct private equity, private equity fund, and private fixed income markets on behalf of The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, managing portfolios with holdings in excess of $20bn.
Funds under the advice of Apax invest in companies across its global sectors of tech & telecom, retail & consumer, media, healthcare and financial & business services.

Thoma Cressey Bravo leads recapitalisation of Encompass Home Health
