Blackstone hires financial services specialist Thomas StoddardThe Blackstone Group has appointed Thomas D Stoddard to the firm's corporate advisory business as a senior managing director.
Previously, he was a founding partner of financial services sector-focused private equity firm Barrett Ellman Stoddard Capital Partners.
Stoddard most recently was with DLJ and Credit Suisse, where he specialised in providing strategic M&A advice to financial services companies.
Earlier this month, Blackstone Capital Partners, together with Warburg Pincus, led a $500m investment round in West African oil company Kosmos Energy.
