Early stage technology venture capital firm El Dorado Ventures has appointed Sheeraz Haji as an entrepreneur-in-residence. Haji will help the firm identify new investment opportunities in segments including online marketing, web-based consumer applications, software-as-a-service and green consumer services.
Haji is the former president of EDV portfolio company Convio. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of GetActive Software. EDV co-led the first round of venture capital funding for GetActive.
'We enjoyed working with Sheeraz when he was at Convio and GetActive, and we are looking forward to working with him again,' said Scott Irwin, general partner of EDV. 'Sheeraz did a great job at GetActive and Convio. We think he has a very bright future as a technology entrepreneur.'
EDV, founded in 1986, invests in sectors including software, services, communications, systems, cleantech and other emerging technologies.
