Texas-based Austin Ventures has appointed Mike Dodd as a venture partner. Dodd will work on investments in early and expansion stage IT companies, with a focus on application and infrastructure software and technology-enabled business and consumer services.
Most recently, Dodd was senior vice president of corporate development with Omniture, a publicly traded online business optimisation software company. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and general manager at consumer online content subscription business MyFamily.com. He was also a partner with venture capital firm Europatweb and a technology investment banker with Robertson Stephens.
'Mike brings a stellar background in the enterprise software and consumer and internet spaces to the AV team and to Texas,' said Chris Pacitti, general partner, AV. 'His depth of experience and contacts allows him the ability to source new relationships and assist existing portfolio companies across a broad range of software and information technology investments.'
