Paris-based venture capital firm Truffle Capital has appointed Antoine Pau as investment manager of life sciences.
Pau was most recently at audit firm Mazars, where he spent three years as an auditor for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and investment funds. Towards the end of his tenure at Mazars, he worked for the transaction services team and got involved in due diligence in the industry and service sectors.
Before Mazars, Pau worked for Novartis in the business planning analysis department.

Truffle Capital is widely recognised as a leader in European biotech and medtech venture capital, and having Antoine on board will reinforce our capacity to seek out, finance, take public or sell promising new opportunities in this field in order to build the European leaders of tomorrow.'
Truffle recently appointed Gwen Chapman as CFO.
The firm also recently invested in CARMAT, a medtech start-up, alongside a group of other investors comprising EADS and the Fondation Alain Carpentier. Additional funding came from the French state innovation agency OSEO.
Founded in 2002 in Paris, Truffle is an independent European private equity firm dedicated to investing in technology companies in the IT, life sciences and energy sectors. It has €360m under management.

Truffle hires Antoine Pau as investment manager, life sciences
