ComAbility, an Israeli developer of subscriber and services operations platforms for telecommunications carriers and service providers, has extended the round of funding received a year ago from venture capital firms Stata Ventures and Vertex Venture Capital from $6m to $10m.

The funding will be used to equip the company for what it sees as a surge in the market need for its ComAbility neXus platform, the company said.

ComAbility is a Cisco Technology Development Partner and is involved in a joint session repository project with Oracle.

Moty Ben-Arie, managing partner at Vertex Venture Capital, said, “The ComAbility solution speaks to service providers, who need to deploy personalised services to monetise their infrastructure investments, but who are deterred by the sometimes overwhelming complexity of the underlying network requirements. ComAbility’s success in acquiring major new customers and in building a healthy pipeline in these times contributed to our decision to increase capacity in order to better accommodate the opportunities.”

Vertex Venture Capital invests in Israeli and Israel-related companies at all stages of development in the fields of information networking, communications, enterprise software and other emerging technologies.
