Sequoia Capital, a global venture capital firm with a presence in India, has just opened a new office in New Delhi, according to reports.
The firm currently has offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, as well as operations in the US, China and Israel. Sequoia Capital's website lists a third Indian office in New Delhi.
In August last year, Sequoia Capital India closed its Sequoia Capital India Growth Fund II on $725m. The fund is focused on late stage, pre-IPO and public market investments in India in sectors such as technology, retail, financial services and infrastructure.
Earlier this year, one of Sequoia Capital China's founding partners, Zhang Fan, resigned from the venture firm.
