SV Life Sciences (SVLS), a venture capital firm focused on life sciences companies in all stages of development, has appointed two new venture partners to its Boston office.
Patrick Ryan was previously managing director of Clark Street Ventures, whilst James Wachtman has spent over 13 years in the eye care services sector, with a promotion in 2004 to president and CEO of Laser Vision Centers – an SVLS portfolio company.
SVLS partner Darren Black said, “We are pleased to have Pat and Jim, both seasoned healthcare service entrepreneurs, re-join the SV Life Sciences team to search for high-quality healthcare service investment opportunities. We look forward to pursuing opportunities where Jim and Pat can again lead companies through successful growth initiatives.”
SVLS currently advises and manages five funds with commitments of $1.6bn. Last month, SVLS helped contribute funding to the biotech companies Lux Biosciences and Adimab.
