Anand Daniel, previously of Boston-based venture capital firm Flybridge Capital Partners, has left the US to return to India. He is now with Accel Partners as a principal, according to reports.
In an email to colleagues, he is reported to have said, “After a few amazing years in Boston, first at MIT Sloan and then with Flybridge Capital Partners, I have moved back to India. I thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of years at Flybridge and am grateful to the team for their support in helping me make this transition. I have joined Accel India as a principal and will focus on investing in seed/early stage companies in India.”
Accel led a $20m financing round for Russian online shopping club KupiVIP last month. The firm was joined by existing investors Mangrove Capital Partners, ARLAN, Direct Group and business angel Oliver Jung.
Founded in 1983 and with offices in Palo Alto, London, Bangalore and China via the IDG-Accel Partnership, Accel has invested in notable companies including Admob and Facebook.
