Pomona Capital has appointed Paul Delaney as director, fund of funds and partner, based in New York. Delaney will be responsible for spearheading Pomona's $1.6bn private equity fund of funds business.
Delaney most recently served as a managing director in the private funds group at Bear Stearns & Co. His responsibilities at Bear Stearns included overseeing the origination and execution of private equity fund transactions globally.
Prior to joining Bear Stearns, he spent 20 years in investment management at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, lastly serving as director, private equity portfolio management.
Pomona Capital focuses on the purchase of secondary and primary interests in venture capital and buy-out funds. The firm has offices in New York and London, and manages $3.4bn in committed capital for a global group of investors: $1.8bn in committed capital across six secondary funds and $1.6bn in committed capital across four dedicated primary funds of funds and other investment mandates.
