Newly launched Hong Kong private equity firm Chepstow Capital has expanded its team with three new appointments, according to reports.
The mid-market firm, which launched in September, has added two team members from the former company of Chepstow co-founder Vince Warner, HSBC Private Equity Asia.
HSBC PE Asia managing director david Patersonwill has joined as director and chairman of the firm’s investment committee, while HSBC PE Asia's former deputy manager for Greater China, Michael Tsang, will join as managing director.
Genevieve Heng of CLSA Capital Partners has also joined the firm, and will serve as managing director with responsibility for investment in Southeast Asia.
Chepstow was founded to focus on mid-market investment opportunities in Asia. CEO Warner was previously the chief executive of the HSBC Alternative Proprietary Investment Advisor group. CIO Josephine Price was formerly deputy CEO at CLSA Capital Partners.
