This weekly roundup provides an update on deals and fund activity that did not feature as separate stories in AltAssets' daily news service.

DEALS

3i, Richard Brewster and other management shareholders have sold Interbrandpro to EquiVest and Kinsky Capital. Interbrandpro is a promotional print and board manufacturing business with plants in Weisenbach, Germany and Huddersfield, United Kingdom. 3i backed Brewster and his team to form Interbrandpro in 2000, and subsequently in their acquisitions of Katz from Pfleiderer (also in 2000) and Quarmby and Waterlomat from Jarvis Porter (in 2001).

FUNDS

Linden, a private investment firm that focuses on middle-market leveraged buy-out investments in the healthcare and life science sector, has begun to seek investments for Linden Capital Partners. LCP represents the group's inaugural fund and has capital commitments exceeding $100m. Madison Dearborn Partners supported the founding of Linden, and the firms will maintain their strategic alliance for large healthcare deals, according to a statement. Linden was formed in 2002 as a continuation of an investment strategy developed by its principals in the 1990s at First Chicago Equity Capital, now One Equity Partners.

Platina Finance's specialist fund Mistral Windfarms I has reached an interim close on €27m. Santander Infraestructuras, a Madrid-based infrastructure fund managed by Santander Private Equity, is a cornerstone investor in the new fund and a strategic partner. MWF is the second dedicated wind fund advised or managed by Platina.

Intel Corporation has established a $50m venture capital fund to invest in technology companies developing innovative hardware, software and services in the region covering the Middle East and Turkey. The fund will seek to invest in companies that complement Intel's technology and platform initiatives, and seeks to further build out the IT and internet infrastructure in the region.
