Natural Gas Partners has promoted Tony R Weber to the position of managing director. Weber joined NGP in 2004 as principal and director of corporate finance. He has led the firm's efforts in helping its portfolio companies source, structure and execute debt financing and other external capital transactions. In addition, he has
taken on a larger role at NGP with respect to overall transaction evaluation, execution and monitoring efforts. NGP is a $2.9bn family of funds that invest private equity capital in oil and gas production, midstream and oilfield service companies. The firm also manages $350m in two co-investment funds that invest in direct oil and gas property interests alongside NGP portfolio companies.
Chicago-headquartered private equity firm TMB Industries has promoted Jeffrey L Elmer and Kelly L Bodway to managing directors of TMB. Elmer joined the firm in 1995. Prior to that he worked at General Motors Corporation where he held a series of management and operations positions in the GM Truck Group. Bodway joined TMB in 1996. He previously served in various leadership and operational roles with Electronic Data Systems, primarily focused on the automotive and light truck manufacturing business sector. TMB generally acquires industrial businesses with sales between $30m and $500m.
European private equity firm Bridgepoint has appointed Sir James Crosby to its European Advisory Committee. Crosby recently stepped down from the board of HBOS where he had been chief executive since 2001. He had previously been CEO of Halifax and began his career as a fund manager at Scottish Amicable.
