European private equity firm Bridgepoint has appointed John Barber as partner, leading the firm's Investor Services team, in succession to Graham Dewhirst who is retiring from the firm. Barber will also serve on Bridgepoint's operating and investment committees.
The shareholders of NORD Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH,
have elected Thomas Krüger to the supervisory board of the company. Krüger is a physicist and a full-time member of the board of directors of the Braunschweig Public Insurance company. He replaces Bernd Schnabel, the deputy chairman of the board of the Versicherungsgruppe Hannover (VGH). Schnabel was on the board for four years. Dr Hans Vieregge continues as chairman of the supervisory board of NORD Holding.
Seven investment professionals have joined Thomas H Lee's newly-formed, New York-based private equity firm Lee Equity Partners. The seven professionals are: Mark Gormley, previously a founding partner at Capital Z Partners; David Morrison, who was most recently president and CEO of Mercer Management Consulting; Allen Questrom, a retailing executive who has served as CEO of J.C. Penney Company, Barneys New York, Federated Department Stores and Neiman Marcus; Yoo Jin Kim and Benjamin Hochberg, two former principals at Bain Capital; Michael Anderson, who previously worked at Bain & Company; and Luke Long, previously a professional with the Carlyle Group.
US buy-out firm TA Associates has appointed M Roy Burns as a vice president, based in the firm's Boston office. Burns will focus on management buy-outs and growth capital investments in the financial services, business services and consumer industries. He has previous experience at TA Associates, where he was an associate from 2001 to 2004. Burns then completed an MBA.
Rosemary L Ripley has joined NGEN Partners as an entrepreneur-in-residence. Prior to joining NGEN, Ripley was a founder of Circle Financial Group.
