DEALS
Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and its co-investment fund DBAG Fund IV have purchased H. H. Heim & Haus Holding, a direct marketing company, jointly with the company's managing partners. Heim & Haus develops and distributes awnings and blinds as well as building elements used in the extension and renovation of homes. In 2005 Heim & Haus generated sales of €91m, according to a statement.
UK mid-market buy-out specialist ECI Partners has sold Kirker Travel to Kuoni for an undisclosed amount. Kirker is a provider of luxury holidays, offering tailor-made itineraries for holidays across 150 destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and New York. Kirker, founded in 1986, was backed by ECI in an institutional BIMBO in 2002.
FUNDS
Cambridge Consultants has created a new venture fund of up to £10m jointly with Esprit Capital Partners. Esprit Capital Partners, formed by the recent merger of Cazenove Private Equity and Prelude Ventures, has experience in investing in technology start-ups.
